HYPNOBIRTHING

Have you ever wondered if it is possible to experience child birth in a natural pain-free way?

When you have your baby with HypnoBirthing, you will not be in a trance or a sleep. What you will experience is similar to the daydreaming or focusing that occurs when you are engrossed in a book or a movie or staring into a fire.

Hypnobirthing training can eliminate the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome and help the expecting mother find a fuller, more natural state of birth fulfillment, by remaining awake and alert in a totally relaxed state of mind and body.

A woman's body is created to be able to give birth naturally. But the fear-tension-pain syndrome causes birth to become difficult and painful.

Your body's natural anesthesia will replace the stress hormones that create pain, so giving birth can be a calm and relaxed experience.

When you have your baby with HypnoBirthing, you will not be in a trance or a sleep. What you will experience is similar to the daydreaming or focusing that occurs when you are engrossed in a book or a movie or staring into a fire.

With hypnobirthing training you will be conversant and in good spirits, totally relaxed, but fully in control. Because you are awake throughout your child's birth, you will be aware of your body's surges and natural birthing energy. But because you will have trained yourself to reach complete relaxation, you will be able to determine the degree to which you will feel the surges. You will experience birthing in an atmosphere of calm relaxation, free of the fear and tension that prevents the muscles of your body from functioning as nature intended them to. In this relaxed state, your body's own natural anesthesia, created through a hormone called endorphins, replaces the stress hormones that constrict and cause pain.

A BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL EXPERIENCE OF LOVE

HypnoBirthing is a natural method of allowing your body to give birth to your baby peacefully... and in many cases, painlessly. Many HypnoBirthing mothers say they experience pressure, and sensation during birth, but not pain.

The experience of pain in childbirth is the result of an unnatural process of fear, which produces tension, which creates tightness and clamping of the muscles, which results in pain.

Once you understand how the uterus is meant to work, and how this "fear, tension, pain" cycle interferes with the natural process, you will understand why it is possible to experience childbirth in a peaceful way.

THE DATELINE SHOW

You may have heard about HypnoBirthing on NBC's Dateline. This show followed the experiences of two women who each had a very easy and painless birth.

Before their HypnoBirthing sessions, each of these women were not sure if they would be able to do the hypnosis. Most women have doubts that they will be able to achieve trance and have a peaceful birth. Yet most women are pleasantly surprised to find they "have what it takes" to achieve this goal.

If you have doubts about your ability to have an easy birthing process, remember that these fears are a result of conditioning by our society. You and every woman were born to know how to experience birth, Your body already knows how to do this!

Medical science has taught us something entirely different about birth. Doctors can control pain and induce sleep during birth, through chemical anesthesia and prescription medicines. Doctors have assumed for centuries that they can effectively manage the mother's pain.

While these substances are helpful and necessary for some mothers, many women are fully capable of experiencing pain-free birth without prescription medicines. These substances can also have harmful side effects that you may wish to avoid, including nausea, disorientation, or allergic reactions. Your unborn child also receives these medications through the mother's blood supply.

But medical science is only beginning to understand the real impact of birth trauma on the mother and her child.

We will help you remove distracting thoughts and beliefs about pain and suffering that can interfere with your natural delivery. As a woman, you deserve to know how birth was meant to be experienced.

HYPNOSIS FOR BIRTHING

Being in a profoundly relaxed state can help to shorten the labor. One of the reasons for this is the amazing amount of communication between the mind and body. When the body is instructed to flow with the birth process and open and release tightness and tension, the entire body is in harmony with the downward movement and opening that can produce a shorter birth.

In many cases, the doctors and nurses observing a HypnoBirthing mom don't feel she is progressing, because she is quiet and calm. There is often an element of surprise in the rapid dilation of the cervix, and the short amount of time spent in the pushing process. Because the mind is instructing the body to relax and open, there are absolutely no fears, tension, or negative beliefs about the labor. The mother's body can open quickly and efficiently during birth.

A recent magazine article about HypnoBirthing commented on how the babies seem to "flow" out, rather than being pushed out. For many mothers, the pushing process is smooth and efficient, with the added benefits of less tearing, and trauma. The baby can also experience less trauma.

BIRTH TRAUMA

An interesting book, called Babies Remember Birth, presents some great research into the details that were reported by adults who reexperienced their birth through hypnotic regression.

Case after case provided proof that the events each person remembered were accurate. The emotions of the mother and father were recorded by the baby. Emergency procedures were documented and remembered in the babies mind. Even voices and conversations were accurately identified.

What does this mean? It means that birth matters! It is possible that a large part of who we are could be a result of our birth. Think about it. The first real fear that we experience - bright lights, fear, pain, cold, being lifted and moved, poked - happens at the moment immediately after our birth.

By reducing the amount of trauma to the baby during this process, you can help produce a happier child and a more fulfilled adult.

During a Hypnobirth, the baby spends less time feeling the hormones of stress and fear, listening to screaming, moaning and feeling constricted. The baby's journey down the birth canal is usually very quick, allowing for an entrance that is peaceful.

You owe it to your baby to give them the most loving start possible. Your baby could feel your loving voice and the music of your soul as a welcome to the world!

HYPNOSIS FOR BREECH BABIES

Hypnosis has been shown to turn a breech baby, often within minutes of the hypnosis session. A study on breech babies turned with hypnosis, also showed that these babies stayed in the proper position, where babies turned manually often returned to the breech position.

The baby is clearly receiving communication from the mind of the mother and from the outside experiences. Your HypnoBirthing practitioner can assist you with the turning.
